Sensor Analysis Module
An Electronic Circuit Breaker Using the LND-SENS92
What is the LND-SENS92?
The LND-SENS92 is a comparator channel for doing analysis of sensors which source or sink a current. The device is used as a programmable trip point channel. The device includes two dividers. One of these dividers is potentially the low reference to one end of a variable resistor. High/Low input determines whether one end of a variable resistor contained within “nalog switch is connected directly to pin 1 or to the center of the divider connected to pin 1. The Analog Switch also includes a 7 bit silicon resistor. When Pin 3 is connected to a current sink or source, the voltage at pin 3 will be pulled high or lower than the selected reference. By adjusting the resistor, a set point can be determined which will cause the comparator to switch.
