The RT9259 is a dual-channel DC/DC controller specifically designed to deliver high quality power where 12V power source is available. This part consists of a synchronous buck controller and an LDO controller. Description
The MEC1310 is a 128-pin 3.3V LPC-based ACPI 2.0 and PC99/PC2001 compliant Notebook I/O controller. See FIGURE 1: MEC1310 Block Diagram on page 4. The MEC1310 incorporates a high-performance 8051-based keyboard and system controller with internal embedded 64K SRAM; a 1K byte Boot ROM, and 64-bytes battery backed registers. The embedded 64K SRAM is loaded via HOST/8051 SPI Memory Interface. The HOST/8051 SPI Memory Interface can be configured in Switched SPI Flash Configuration or Parallel Shared SPI Flash Configuration.
The MEC1310 has four PS/2 ports; an 16C550A-compatible 2 pin UART for Debug Port; three 8584-style I2C/SMBus controllers with two selectable ports per controller; a Serial IRQ peripheral agent interface; three ACPI Embedded controller Interface; General Purpose I/O pins and seven General Purpose Outputs; four independently programmable pulse width modulators; dual fan control through the implementation of two fan tachometer input pins, RPM-PWM block with one tachometer input and one PWM output; hardware monitoring of a PWM input and maskable hardware wake up events; one BC-Link Combined High Speed/Low Speed Bus Master controller; 5 channel Analog to Digital Converter.
The MEC1310 has two separate power planes to provide “instant on” and system power management functions. Additionally, the MEC1310 incorporates sophisticated power control circuitry (PCC). The PCC supports multiple low power down modes. Wake-up events and ACPI-related functions are supported through the SCI Interface.

General description
The TEA1716T integrates a Power Factor Corrector (PFC) controller and a controller for a Half-Bridge resonant Converter (HBC) in a multi-chip IC. It provides the drive function for the discrete Mosfet in an up-converter and for the two discrete power Mosfets in a resonant half-bridge configuration.
Efficient PFC operation is achieved by implementing functions for Quasi-Resonant (QR) operation at high-power levels and QR operation with valley skipping at lower power levels. OverCurrent Protection (OCP), Overvoltage Protection (OVP) and demagnetization sensing ensure safe operation under all conditions.
The HBC module is a high-voltage controller for a zero-voltage switching LLC resonant converter. It contains a high-voltage level shift circuit and several protection circuits including OCP, open-loop protection, capacitive mode protection and a general purpose latched protection input.
The high-voltage chip is fabricated using a proprietary high-voltage Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS power logic process enabling efficient direct start-up from the rectified universal mains voltage. The low-voltage Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) chip is used for accurate, high-speed protection functions and control.
TEA1716T controlled PFC circuit and resonant converter are very flexible. It can be used for a broad range of applications over a wide mains voltage range. Combining PFC and HBC controllers in a single IC makes the TEA1716T ideal for controlling power supplies in LCD and plasma televisions.
Using the TEA1716T highly efficient and reliable power supplies providing from 90 W to 500 W can be designed easily using the TEA1716T, with a minimum of external components.
The integrated Burst mode and power management functionality of TEA1716T enable resonant applications that meet the Energy Using Product Directive (EuP) lot 6 (< 0.5 W in Standby mode).

General Description
The RT9230 is a 4-in-one power controller optimized for high-performance microprocessor and computer applications. The IC integrates two PWM controller, two linear controllers as well as monitoring and protection functions into a 28-pin SOP package. The first PWM controller regulates the microprocessor core voltage with a synchronous buck converter, while the second PWM controller supplies the computer system’s AGP 1.5V or 3.3V bus power with a standard buck converter. The first linear regulator provides power for the 1.5V GTL bus and the second linear regulator provides 1.8V power for the North/South Bridge core voltage and/or cache memory circuits.
The RT9230 features an Intel-compatible, TTL 5-bit programmable DAC that adjusts the core voltage from 2.1V to 3.5V in 0.1V increments and from 1.3V to 2.05V in 0.05V steps. The 5-bit DAC has a typical ±1% tolerance. The second PWM controller is user selectable for output level of 1.5V and 3.3V with ±2.5% accuracy. The linear controllers drives external N-Mosfet or NPN bipolar for the pass transistor to provide fixed output voltages of 1.5V ±3% and 1.8V ±3%.
The RT9230 monitors all the output voltages. A Power -good signal is issued when the core voltage is within ±10% of the DAC setting and the other levels are above their under-voltage levels. Additional build-in over-voltage protection for the core output uses the lower Mosfet to prevent output voltage above 115% of the DAC setting. The PWM over-current function monitors the output current using the voltage drop across the Mosfet’s RDS(ON), which eliminates the need for a current sensing resistor.
