GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HI-3200 from Holt Integrated Circuits is a single chip CMOS data management IC capable of managing, storing and forwarding avionics data messages between eight ARINC 429 receive channels, four ARINC 429 transmit channels and a single CAN / ARINC 825 data bus. The ARINC 429 and CAN buses may be operated independently, allowing a host CPU to send and receive data on multiple buses, or the HI-3200 can be programmed to automatically re-format, re-label, re-packetize and re transmit data from ARINC 429 receive buses to ARINC 429 transmit buses, as well as from ARINC 429 to CAN or CAN to ARINC 429.

The HI-8282A is a silicon gate CMOS DEVICE for interfacing the ARINC 429 serial data bus to a 16-bit parallel data bus. Two receivers and an independent transmitter are provided. The receiver input circuitry and logic are designed to meet the ARINC 429 specifications for loading, level detection, timing, and protocol. The transmitter section provides the ARINC 429 communication protocol. Additional INTERFACE circuitry such as the Holt HI-8585, HI-8586 or HI-3182 is required to translate the 5 volt logic outputs to ARINC 429 drive levels.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HI-8483 bus INTERFACE unit is a dual differential line receiver in accordance with the requirements of the ARINC 429 bus specification. The DEVICE translates incoming ARINC 429 signals to normal CMOS/TTL levels on each of its two independent receive channels. The HI-8483 is a functional alternative to the Fairchild/Raytheon RM3283 and DEI3283.

DESCRIPTION
The HI-8783, HI-8784, and HI-8785 are system components for interfacing 8 bit parallel data to an ARINC 429 bus. The HI-8783 is a logic DEVICE only and requires a separate line driver circuit, such as the HI-3182 or HI-8585. The HI-8784 and HI-8785 combine logic and line driver on one chip. The HI-8784 has an output resistance of 37.5 ohms, and the HI-8785 has an output resistance of 10 ohms to facilitate external lightning protection cicuitry. The technology is analog/digital CMOS.
The HI-8783 is available in a 22 pin DIP format as a second source replacement for the Micrel / California DEVICEs DLS-111BV.
