The SN54/74LS192 is an UP/DOWN BCD Decade (8421) COUNTER and the SN54/74LS193 is an UP/DOWN MODULO-16 Binary COUNTER. Separate Count Up and Count DOWN Clocks are used and in either counting mode the circuits operate SYNCHRONOUSly. The outputs change state SYNCHRONOUS with the LOW-to-HIGH transitions on the clock inputs.
Separate Terminal Count Up and Terminal Count DOWN outputs are provided which are used as the clocks for a subsequent STAGEs without extra logic, thus simplifying multiSTAGE COUNTER designs. Individual preset inputs allow the circuits to be used as programmable COUNTERs. Both the Parallel Load (PL) and the Master Reset (MR) inputs aSYNCHRONOUSly override the clocks.

DESCRIPTION
The M54/74HC40102/40103 are high speed CMOS 8-STAGE PRESETTABLE SYNCHRONOUS DOWN COUNTERS fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology. They achieve the high speed operation similar to equivalent LSTTL while main taining the CMOS low power dissipation.
The HC40102, and HC40103 consist of an 8-STAGE SYNCHRONOUS DOWN COUNTER with a single output which is active when the internal count is zero. The HC40102 is configured as two cascaded 4-bit BCD COUNTERs, and the HC40103 contains a single 8-bit binary COUNTER. Each type has control inputs for en abling or disabling the clock, for clearing the COUNTER to its maximum count, and for presetting the COUNTER either SYNCHRONOUSly or aSYNCHRONOUSly.

DESCRIPTION
HCF40103B is a monolithic integrated circuit fabricated in Metal Oxide Semiconductor technology available in DIP and SOP packages.
HCF40103B consists of an 8-STAGE SYNCHRONOUS DOWN COUNTER with a single output that is active when the internal count is zero. This device contains a single 8-bit binary COUNTER. It has control inputs for enabling or disabling the clock, for clearing the COUNTER to its maximum count, and for presetting the COUNTER either SYNCHRONOUSly or aSYNCHRONOUSly.
