The NBC12430 and NBC12430A are general purpose, PLL based SYNTHESIZED CLOCK sources. The VCO will operate over a frequency range of 400 MHz to 800 MHz. The VCO frequency is sent to the N-output divider, where it can be configured to provide division ratios of 1, 2, 4, or 8. The VCO and output frequency can be programmed using the parallel or serial interfaces to the configuration logic.

Description
The NBC12429 and NBC12429A are general purpose, Phase--Lock--Loop (PLL) based SYNTHESIZED CLOCK sources. The VCO will operate over a frequency range of 200 MHz to 400 MHz. The MPC9893 is a 2.5 V and 3.3 V compatible, PLL based intelligent dynamic CLOCK switch and GENERATOR specifically designed for redundant CLOCK distribution systems. The device receives two LVCMOS CLOCK signals and generates 12 phase aligned output CLOCKs. The MPC9893 is able to detect a failing reference CLOCK signal and to dynamically switch to a redundant CLOCK signal. The switch from the failing CLOCK to the redundant CLOCK occurs without interruption of the output CLOCK signal (output CLOCK slews to alignment). The phase bump typically caused by a CLOCK failure is eliminated.
